History

Born on the day of Pentecost 2008, ML Bethlehem Church is the fulfilment of God’s promise to us, promise received eight years ago as “a mountain above other mountains” and when the Church was known as Ephrata Church. Created by God’s will in 2000 and led by a Senior pastor Rev. Pastor Eugide Angwaba Mukwa until May 2008, the church had a successful journey in terms of outcomes and achievements, and blessed hundreds of God’s people in the city of Liverpool and the region of North West, including the World. Some of those achievements included:

1. Reception of great and anointed men  of God from all over the World e.g. Apostle Tambu Lukoki from DR Congo, apostle Adrien Sukami from RDCongo, Rev. Pastor Nzangara Kindia from RDC, doctor Sony Mukwenze from RDC, Pastor Anto from RDC, etc.

2. Salvation and restoration of many souls for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

3. Reception of big International Gospel Bands and Artists such as Sr L'Or Mbongo, Br Matou Samuel, Ev. Denis Ngonde, Br Aimee Nkanu, Br Kool Matope, all from DR Congo.

4. Support, in terms of references, immigration and befriending service to our brothers and sisters from Eritrea and other countries.

5. Active involvement to community activities in the North West region of England through our choir’s performances at the festivals and gospel concerts whereby the choir declare Jesus Christ as the King of the Kings

In 2006, the Lord sent His servant Rev. Pastor Angwaba Mukwa to go to conquer other horizons. The man of God took his time to grow the revelation in prayer, whilst seeking God’s face and 2 years later as he was preaching the Gospel in a Sunday service, the Holy Spirit asked him to do a special service whereby he had to pray for the new couple i.e. Br Thierry Bwaka and his wife Judith, who will take over the leadership of the church as he was leaving for Manchester for other work for the glory of God.

Being a man of revelation, Thierry Bwaka engages himself in seeking God’s face towards this new challenge and mission. That is when the Holy Spirit convinced him of general restoration work that He was going to do within the church to enable the fulfilment of the promise of God upon the church, in the city of Liverpool, in the region of North West and the World. That is when the church changed its name from Ephrata Church to Bethlehem Church under a new leadership.

ML Bethlehem Church is a Pentecostal Church with the following statement of faith:
